About Oak Brook, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The Village of Oak Brook is located in DuPage County, Illinois approximately eighteen miles west of the city of Chicago.  Oak Brook was incorporated in 1958 due to the efforts of prominent civic leader Paul Butler whose father was one of the first settlers to the area in 1898.  Mr. Butler's interest in sports and recreation is reflected in the large number of sporting establishments located throughout the Oak Brook village community.  Former major league baseball player, Frank Thomas, and several NHL Hockey players are from the Oak Brook area.  The world headquarters for McDonald's Corporation and Lions Club International are located in Oak Brook, as well.

The village lies within the U. S. humid continental climate zone, which produces hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters with lovely mild weather during the springtime and fall months.  No matter what the season, the Village of Oak Brook is beautiful any time of the year!

Oak Brook is proud to host the Oak Brook Sports Core that houses a premier golfing facility, state-of-the-art tennis club, and polo grounds that feature golfing, swimming, tennis, ice skating, cross-country skiing, and polo.  The village is also home to the Oak Brook Aquatic Center, which offers aquatic programs for swimmers of all levels and features two swimming pools, a water playground, 105-foot long waterslide, six 25-yard competition swim lanes, a 7-person whirlpool, and an outdoor splash park for hot summertime fun.  The village also boasts seven municipal parks that are maintained and operated by the Oak Brook Park District.

The Oak Brook Historical Society is currently working to restore the Old Butler School, which upon completion will serve as the Oak Brook Heritage Center that will provide historical programming, exhibits, a research library, and meeting space dedicated to the history and heritage of the community.  Historic Graue Mill is the only working water-powered gristmill in the state of Illinois.  The mill was built by German immigrant Frederick Graue over the course of a five-year period.  He completed the mill in 1852 and it was operated by the Graue family for sixty years.

Oak Brook operates its own school district and is home to the Sunshine Montessori of Oakbrook private school and the College of DuPage Community College District 502 campus.

With its prominent focus on excellent education, history and heritage, and sports and recreation, it is easy to see that all things that make for a great community are important in the Village of Oak Brook!
